This Komodo liveaboard itinerary 3D2N covers every stop, every time, and every experience aboard Leticia — a 27-metre luxury phinisi departing Labuan Bajo into Komodo National Park. The itinerary on this page reflects Leticia's standard 3D2N open trip route. Specific sites may vary slightly based on weather, tides, and park regulations set by Komodo National Park authorities. Unlike day tours that return to Labuan Bajo each evening and visit just 2 to 3 spots, this journey covers Padar Island sunrise, Komodo dragon encounters, Pink Beach, Manta Point, Taka Makassar sandbar, and more — in one seamless sailing adventure.

Day 1 — Sail, Kelor Island & Sunset at Sea

Departure day — afternoon check-in

09:00 — Hotel / Airport Pickup. Leticia's crew picks you up from your Labuan Bajo hotel or from Komodo Airport (LBJ). Transfer to the harbour for check-in and vessel orientation briefing.

10:00 — Departure, Set Sail. Cast off from Labuan Bajo harbour. Settle into your ensuite cabin, meet the crew and fellow guests, and enjoy the open sea ahead.

11:00 — Kelor Island Trek & Snorkel. Short hike to the hilltop viewpoint overlooking turquoise water and Komodo's iconic silhouette. Snorkelling in clear, shallow waters teeming with tropical fish and soft coral.

14:00 — Lunch Onboard + Menjerite Snorkel. Fresh lunch prepared by the onboard chef. Afternoon snorkel at Menjerite — one of the richer reef spots in the area with diverse marine life.

17:00 — Sunset at Kalong Island. Anchor near Kalong Island to watch thousands of flying foxes (large fruit bats) take flight at dusk — a dramatic natural spectacle over the water. Dinner served onboard.

Evening — Overnight Anchor + Floating Sea Pool. Night swim in the floating sea pool. Star-gaze from the sundeck. Socialise with fellow guests over drinks as the vessel anchors in calm bay waters.

Day 2 — Padar Sunrise · Komodo Dragons · Pink Beach

The big day — early start, iconic experiences

05:00 — Wake-Up Call. Early morning call. Yes, it is 5am. Yes, it is completely worth it. Coffee and light snacks are ready on deck while the tender prepares.

06:00 — Padar Island Sunrise Hike. Guided hike to the famous three-bay viewpoint. The summit reveals one of Southeast Asia's most photographed panoramas — three crescent bays of different coloured sand stretching below you as the sun rises. 30 to 45 minutes up, steep in sections, absolutely unforgettable. Breakfast served onboard on return.

10:00 — Pink Beach Snorkelling. Snorkel at Long Pink Beach — Indonesia's most iconic rose-tinted shoreline, where crushed red coral mixes with white sand to create the distinctive pink colour. Excellent coral reef diversity directly offshore.

12:00 — Komodo Island Dragon Trek. Guided trek with a licensed Komodo National Park ranger to encounter Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. The world's largest lizard moves slowly but commands total respect. Rangers carry forked sticks. Maintain recommended distances at all times. Lunch served onboard after.

15:00 — Taka Makassar + Manta Point Snorkel. The iconic white sandbar of Taka Makassar emerges from brilliant turquoise water — floating sea pool deployed here for a memorable swim. Then on to Manta Point when conditions allow for an afternoon snorkel with oceanic manta rays.

17:00 — Sunset onboard. Anchor in a calm bay, dinner served. Optional night swim before bed.

Day 3 — Manta Point · Kanawa Island · Return to Labuan Bajo

Final morning — back by noon

07:00 — Wake-Up & Breakfast. Morning call. Full breakfast served onboard while the vessel sails toward the final morning sites.

08:00 — Kanawa Island Snorkel. Final snorkel of the trip at Kanawa Island — pristine coral gardens in very clear water, excellent for underwater photography. A fitting finale before the return sail.

11:00 — Return Sail to Labuan Bajo. Final meal onboard during the return journey. Exchange contacts with new friends, tip the crew if you'd like to, and soak in the last views of the Flores Sea.

13:00 — Arrival at Labuan Bajo Harbour. Disembark at Labuan Bajo harbour. Transfer to your hotel or airport onward. Trip ends.

Manta rays note: Manta sightings are most reliable April to October. Outside this window, the crew substitutes equally rewarding snorkel sites with high coral and fish diversity.

Tip: Bring cash for the park fee, crew tips, and any personal extras. There are no ATMs after you leave Labuan Bajo town.

What to Pack

Towels, snorkelling gear, and life jackets are provided. Do not overpack — cabin storage is comfortable but not large. A soft duffle bag is better than a hard suitcase. Bring reef-safe sunscreen (mandatory in the park), wide-brim hat, UV-protection sunglasses, light quick-dry clothing, two swimwear sets, trekking sandals with grip, power bank, seasickness tablets if prone, dry bag, and Indonesian Rupiah cash for park fees and tips.
